And finally ....

Much-loved and appreciated by those familiar with its attractions, yet a blissfully unaware facility to many others that’s our Prom.

The flail hedge-cutting along riverbank of the area in the past week has further enhanced this fantastic natural amenity, enjoyed by generations of locals over the years, as well as proving something of a delightful surprise to visitors.

The work was carried out on behalf of the local authorities by contractor Davy O’Connor, Rathnure.

Well done, also, to the Town Council’s team of Community Employment Scheme workers on their efforts to bolsters the ongoing work of the Tidy Towns’ committee.
