Winner took all
Frank Harpur, Brownswood, was lucky name drawn in the Winnertakes-it-all draw organised over Christmas by Enniscorthy Street Rhythms Dance Festival.
Santa drew the winning ticket, and the fabulous prize a window full of goodies, valued at an estimated €3,000 was his.
It was a big change of luck for the well-known Frank, who, while working on his tractor a few days earlier, had seen the machine combusted before his eyes, having a narrow escape in the incident.
We’re also reliably informed that Frank’s wife and two daughters were very impressed by the win in the draw, the contents of the window including no less than six designer handbags.
Meanwhile, the organising committee says a big Thank You to all who supported the draw in any, especially subscribers and also local businesses who generous contributed items.

And not trying to be smart or anything here, but many music fans will note that January 8 is also the birthday of The King (the original one), who would be 75 years old had he lived.
