A DROWNING tragedy on a scuba-diving trip on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef was dramatically averted by the heroics of a young Enniscorthy man who happened to find himself Down Under on a brief vacation.

THERE WERE different interpretations about the exact numbers present at a public meeting in Enniscorthy on Monday night of last week, but what everyone agreed is that a very large number of people in the area are incensed and are not afraid to express their anger at being asked to pay the proposed Government Household Tax and Water charges.
