Ash Wednesday

Today is Ash Wednesday, and blessed ashes will be distributed at Masses as follows: St. Aidan’s Cathedral - 10 a.m. and 6.05 p.m.; St. Senan’s parish church - 7.30 a.m., 10 a.m. and 7.30 p.m.; St. John’s Hospital chapel - 11.30 a.m. During the season of Lent, Masses will be held Monday - Friday in St. Aidan’s at 10 a.m. and 6.05 p.m. and in St. Senan’s at 7.30 a.m. and 10 a.m.  more >

‘Drugs Demystified’

An information night for parents on the topic ‘Drugs Demystified’ will be held in Coláiste Bríde tonight Wednesday February 10 at 7.30 p.m., with Susan Barnes, HSE Drug Education Officer, helping examine the current trends of substance misuse, both legal and illegal. Haitian disaster

The concluding weekend of the joint appeal for donations for its work in Haiti in the aftermath of the earthquake disaster takes place this Friday and Saturday in Enniscorthy by the local organisation of ‘Concern’, in conjunction with the town’s pharmacists.  more >

In co-operation with all local pharmacists, ‘Concern’ is holding a collection at these centres over the next two week-ends to raise funds for its work in Haiti in the wake of the earthquake disaster there, and generous public support is appealed for.  more >
